Overview
The FLASHER [ROUND] (2 PIN) is a compact, highly reliable turn signal indicator control module designed for a wide variety of electric vehicles, including e-bikes, e-scooters, e-rickshaws, and custom EV builds. Engineered with a durable round ABS plastic housing, this module regulates the flashing rate of your vehicle's turn signals to deliver a steady, predictable blink pattern for safe road navigation.
Featuring a versatile wide-voltage input rating (12V – 60V DC), the 0b43 flasher can connect directly across various auxiliary voltage lines without requiring additional step-down conversion on many low-voltage EV lighting circuits. Its lightweight, weather-resistant build (IP54 splash-proof) and low-power circuit design ensure long-lasting durability and minimal drain on the main traction battery.
Key Features
Wide Input Voltage Range: Operates seamlessly on 12V to 60V DC input, providing flexible integration across diverse EV electrical architectures.
Stable Flash Rate: Delivers a consistent 60–90 cycles per minute blinking pattern for clear, unambiguous signal communication.
Low Power Draw: Highly efficient electronic design preserves traction battery power during continuous indicator or hazard light operation.
Weather-Resistant ABS Housing: Durable IP54 splash-proof enclosure protects internal components against dust, moisture, and road spray.
Simple 2-Pin Connection: Wired 2-pin interface simplifies installation, making it a quick plug-and-play unit for OEMs and DIY builders alike.
What is included
1x FLASHER [ROUND] (2 PIN) (round indicator control flasher module with 2-pin wired leads)
Suitable applications
Suitable Vehicle Types & Applications
- Electric Scooters & E-Bikes: Essential replacement or upgraded turn signal relay for standard two-wheeler electric mobility vehicles.
- Commercial E-Rickshaws & L5 Cargo Vehicles: Reliable flasher control for high-frequency signaling in heavy urban delivery traffic.
- Custom EV & Go-Kart Builds: Direct-fit turn signal controller for DIY custom electric vehicle conversions and low-speed electric platforms.
System & Electrical Compatibility
- Wide Auxiliary DC Voltage Compatibility: Works across a wide 12V to 60V DC range, allowing direct hookup to various low-voltage lighting sub-circuits or DC-DC converter outputs.
- Standard Turn Switch Harnesses: Plugs directly into standard 2-wire handlebar turn switches, push-button arrays, and hazard switch assemblies.
- Universal Enclosure Mounting: Compact round profile easily fits inside narrow handlebar fairings, headlamp housings, or frame-mounted junction boxes.
How to use
1. Power Down & Prepare Workplace:
Switch off the main ignition, disconnect the traction battery pack, and trip the primary circuit breaker. Remove the headlamp fairing or front panel to access the handlebar turn switch wiring harness and existing indicator module.
Verification: Dashboard screen and lights are completely unpowered, and the wiring harness is accessible.
2. Mount the Round Flasher Unit:
Position the FLASHER [ROUND] (2 PIN) (0b43) securely inside the fairing housing or frame pocket near the front wiring junction.
Verification: The flasher is anchored firmly so it won't rattle against steering components or interfere with handlebar rotation.
3. Wire the 2-Pin Interface:
Connect the two lead wires from the flasher module to the indicator sub-circuit:
Pin 1 (Power Supply Input): Connect to the switched +12V–60V DC output line coming from the ignition switch or DC-DC converter.
Pin 2 (Signal Load Output): Connect to the common input terminal of the handlebar turn signal selector switch.
Verification: Both wire splices or bullet terminals are tight and covered with insulating electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing to prevent exposed bare wire contact.
4. Power On & Test Signal Flash Rate:
Reconnect the main battery, switch the ignition ON, and toggle the handlebar turn switch left and right.
Verification: Left and right turn signal lights flash steadily at a consistent rate of 60 to 90 blinks per minute.
Care and maintenance
Moisture Protection: Periodically check the ABS plastic housing and wire entry points for cracked casing or water accumulation. Ensure the module remains dry and mounted within a protected fairing space.
Terminal & Wire Inspection: Inspect the 2-pin wired lead connections for loose bullet terminals, exposed bare copper, or fraying. Re-insulate with heat-shrink tubing or fresh electrical tape if needed.
Load Verification: Ensure connected LED or bulb indicator lights do not exceed the 1A–2A current rating, which can cause abnormal flash rates or thermal damage to internal relay contacts.
