Suitable applications

Low-Speed Electric Scooters: Standard 60V low-speed or commuter e-scooters.

E-Bikes & Mopeds: Electric bikes utilizing a 60V lead-acid power pack.

Mobility Scooters: Electric mobility vehicles and personal transport equipment running on 60V systems.

E-Rickshaws & Light Utility Vehicles: Select light 60V electric trikes or loaders that accept a 3A charging current.

How to use

1.Inspect the Charger and Battery: Check the charger housing, AC power cord, and DC output wires for any signs of cuts, exposed copper, or damage. Inspect your battery terminals to ensure they are clean, tight, and free of heavy corrosion.

2.Connect to the Battery First: Plug or securely attach the DC output connector of the charger into your electric vehicle's charging port or directly onto the 60V battery pack terminals, matching proper polarity (Red to Positive, Black to Negative).

3.Plug into the AC Wall Outlet: Plug the AC power cord into a standard household wall socket (AC 100–240V)

4.Monitor the Charging Progress: Allow the charger to run uninterrupted. Lead-acid batteries require a steady, controlled absorption phase. Watch the LED status light: a Red light indicates active charging, while a switch to a Green light signals that the battery is fully charged.

5.Disconnect in Reverse Order: Once charging is complete, unplug the AC power cord from the wall outlet first, and then disconnect the DC output cable from your vehicle or battery terminals.

Care and maintenance

Keep Clean & Dry: Regularly wipe the exterior casing with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove dust. Keep all moisture and liquids away from the vents and ports.

Inspect Cables & Plugs: Periodically check the AC wall plug and DC output cables for signs of fraying, loose wiring, cracked insulation, or bent pins.

Maintain Ventilation: Ensure the charger's air vents remain unobstructed during operation so internal heat can dissipate effectively.

Questions & answers

It is designed exclusively for 60V lead-acid battery packs (including Gel, VRLA, and flooded types) commonly found in low-speed e-scooters and e-bikes.

Can I use this charger for a 60V Lithium-ion or LiFePO4 battery?

How long does it take to fully charge a 60V battery pack with this charger?

For a standard 20Ah to 30Ah lead-acid battery pack, a full charge typically takes between 6 and 8 hours.

What do the LED indicator lights on the charger mean?

Solid Red means active charging is in progress, Solid Green indicates the battery is fully charged, and a Flashing light signals an error or loose connection.

Is it safe to leave the LEAF 60V 3A charger plugged in overnight?

While it features auto-cut-off protection against overcharging, it is best practice to unplug the charger once the green light turns on to maximize battery health and electrical safety.

How do I know if the charger output plug will fit my electric scooter?

Check your vehicle’s charging port specification to ensure it matches the standard 3-pin / C13 connector provided on the charger's DC output cord.

Why does the charger body feel warm during operation?

Mild heating during active charging is normal due to internal power conversion, but ensure the cooling vents remain unblocked and keep the unit in a dry, ventilated area.

What is the correct order to plug and unplug the charger?

Connect the DC cord to the vehicle first, then plug the AC cord into the wall outlet; when finished, unplug from the wall outlet first before disconnecting from the vehicle.
